Chrysler 300C SRT gets diesel

This is the new Chrysler 300C SRT-Design; the first diesel model to wear the SRT badge. It will be available as a saloon or Touring model, and boasts many of the SRT features, including 20-inch alloys, body kit and chrome mesh grille. The inside also reflects the theme, with steering wheel, carbonfibre detailing and leather sports seats straight out the of the 425bhp, 6.1-litre V8 SRT-8.

Chrysler freshens up 300C

Chrysler has given its 300C executive car a face-lift and has introduced a new edition to the range. There are tweaks to the rear light clusters, and the saloon gets a new boot lid with an integrated spoiler. The interior has been refreshed, too, with a new design for the centre console and instrument panel. There’s also a new ignition key with one-touch start-up, a fully adjustable steering wheel and LED lighting in the front cupholders.

Sticking with RWD, Chrysler planning 2011 300 facelift

At the moment, most of Chrysler’s focus is on developing a new midsize platform. For the next update of its iconic 300 sedan, Chrysler will simply give the car a radical facelift and leave the drivetrain unchanged. A switch to a FWD would improve the fuel economy of the sedan but there’s no money set aside for it, reports TheCarConnection. The Canadian plant where the 300 and Charger is manufactured was set-up to build RWD cars and swapping to FWD would require major upgrades and retooling.

Chrysler Mexico Reports January Sales Increase

Chrysler Mexico today reported January sales of 10,786 Chrysler, JeepВ® and Dodge brand vehicles, an increase of 8.6 percent versus January, 2007 when 9,933 units were sold. This marks the best January sales for Chrysler Mexico in the last six years and is the 8th consecutive month of sales growth for Chrysler Mexico. Chrysler finished 2007 with an increase of .1 percent, despite an overall down market in Mexico.

VW Taps Chrysler Design for First American Van

The Chrysler got your versatility award due to flexible seating, stow and go, swivel and go, removable table, movable center console. VW got none of that. It’s identical to the Chrysler, minus the innovation, keeps the unreliability, and adds wood paneling to the dash. Is that a success?
