Chrysler Killing Off PT Cruiser, Reportedly Planning To Cut Number of Dealers and Simplify Product Lineup
November 13th, 2007AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Chrysler, under the new leadership of Vice Chairman and President Jim Press and CEO Robert Nardelli, is taking bold steps to streamline operations. The automaker previously announced it would cut the Chrysler Pacifica and Crossfire, Dodge Magnum and PT Cruiser convertible from the lineup. Now Chrysler has killed off the PT Cruiser entirely; it will go away after the 2009 model year, according to a Wall Street Journal report today.
