Chrysler Aspen Hybrid

The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid for 2008, along with stable-mate Dodge Durango Hybrid, will both offer Chrysler Group’s all-new 5.7-liter HEMI hybrid power train. These debuts mark the first volume-production hybrid offerings from the Chrysler Group and the first vehicle to feature Daimler Chrysler’s advanced 2-mode hybrid technology. The new 5.7-liter HEMI Hybrid is expected to deliver an overall fuel economy improvement of more than 25%, including an improvement of nearly 40% in the city.

Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango hybrids

We’re afraid so, but the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango (above) hybrids, at least in theory, offers some significant economy gains. It’s also a further glimpse into the system that will power GM products, the BMW X6 and forthcoming 7-series , and cars from Chrysler’s ex-partner, Mercedes .
